An approximate adult healthy-weight range can be calculated from height and BMI 18.5–24.9:

Weight = BMI x height (m)^2
HeightApproximate reference range
1.50 m41.6–56.0 kg
1.60 m47.4–63.7 kg
1.70 m53.5–72.0 kg
1.80 m59.9–80.7 kg
1.90 m66.8–89.9 kg

Values are rounded, so use the BMI calculator for your precise height. The interval is a screening reference, not an ideal-weight prescription.

BMI does not account for muscle, frame, fat distribution, age-related changes or medical history. A strength athlete may be healthy above the table, while a person inside it may still have other risk factors. Consider waist measurement, fitness and clinical markers as appropriate.

The table is intended for most adults. Children and teenagers need BMI-for-age percentiles, and pregnancy uses pre-pregnancy BMI with gestational guidance.
