Separate vested days from progress toward your next work anniversary and see the calculation step by step.

Step 1 · Your situation

What do you want to estimate?

Choose a situation first. The proportional amount has a different meaning when employment ends.

What do you want to estimate?

This estimate uses Mexico's Federal Labor Law for continuous private-sector employment.

When does it not apply?

Public employment, seasonal or discontinuous work, special regimes, absences and historical balances may require a different calculation.

The selected day is included.

Use a balance supported by an employer record. We cannot reconstruct it from the start date alone.

Understand your result

A vested balance and proportional progress are different. While you remain employed, progress toward the next anniversary is shown separately. When employment ends, it is included as a proportional estimate.

Legal rule

The general minimum is 12 working days after the first service year, increasing with seniority under article 76.

Current minimum vacation table

The first five service years grant 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20 working days. Years 6–10 grant 22 days, then two more days per five-year block.

Frequently asked questions

Are proportional days already available to take?

Not necessarily. While employment continues, the calculator separates vested vacation from informational progress toward the next anniversary. On termination, it includes that progress as a proportional settlement estimate.

Does this calculator include the vacation premium?

No. The MVP estimates working days only. Article 80 establishes a vacation premium of at least 25%, but salary and monetary settlement calculations are outside this tool.

Why do I need to enter a prior balance?

A start date does not reveal which older days were taken, paid, recognized or disputed. Enter only a balance supported by your employer's records.

Are vacation days calendar days?

The general Mexican entitlement is expressed in working days. Calendar days are used only to measure elapsed time between work anniversaries for this estimate.

Is the result official?

No. It is an informational estimate under the general Federal Labor Law rules. Contracts, collective agreements, employment regimes and specific facts can change the result.
