Quick presets
Calendar days and exact time
A deadline can mean a full day or an exact instant. The calculator shows both interpretations separately.
Date only
Counts changes in the local date. The event is considered today throughout that day and is exported as an all-day event.
Date and time
Represents an exact instant. It starts the live countdown and preserves the same moment when you share the link.
Time zone
It is detected in your browser. When a shared event is opened in another zone, its local equivalent is shown.
Important-date notice
This tool helps track dates, but it does not replace legal, labor, tax, or contractual rules. Always verify the criteria that apply to your situation.
Frequently asked questions
Does the countdown use my time zone?
Yes. A date with a time uses the browser's local time zone, which is shown with the result. A shared link preserves the exact instant even when opened in another time zone.
What is the difference between calendar days and 24-hour days?
Calendar days count changes in the local date. Exact duration counts complete 24-hour blocks, so the values may differ around daylight-saving changes.
Can I calculate a date without an exact time?
Yes. Select Date only to count calendar days. In that mode, the date is considered today for the entire day and no seconds countdown is shown.
What if the date has already passed?
The calculator keeps the result and shows how many calendar days or how much exact time has elapsed since the deadline.
Does the shared link include the event name?
Not by default. You can enable Include event name before sharing. The data is stored in the URL fragment and is not sent to the server.
Can I add the deadline to my calendar?
Yes. The calculator generates an .ics file in your browser. Dates without a time are exported as all-day events.
